Manglin Pillay Pr Eng was born and spent his childhood on a sugarcane farm, on the Kwazulu Natal north coast, called Mount Moreland. He is a registered professional Civil Engineer with an MBA - both qualifications from Wits University in Johannesburg.
He has more than 14 years of work experience in the built environment sector - 10 of which include business management and executive leadership. He also has a Diploma in Psalmody which is a qualification in music and a Higher Diploma in Education from the University of Kwazulu Natal.
He plays the guitar and writes songs, articles and short stories. Mr Pillay is currently the CEO of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering.
He lives with his wife and 2 children in Johannesburg.
